All plastic parts of espas play equipment, such as slides, roofs, and spring animals, have been 100% recyclable for many years. Now we're going one step further: our play equipment is now also available in recycled plastic. Instead of producing waste that ends up in the landfill, we recycle the old plastics for a meaningful purpose.
Our recycled products are available in two versions:
- in the “Natural Line” in grey with muted colours to symbolise the eco-character, and
- in the usual colorful version as before.
The circular economy for plastics is incredibly simple: Polyethylene (PE) waste and production residues from PE manufacturing are sorted, cleaned, and sent for melting. They are then processed into PE granules. This granule is then used to create the new plastic components for our playground equipment. This guarantees fun with sustainable playground equipment.

Recycling plastics helps conserve resources such as oil and natural gas, which are needed to produce new plastics. Recycled products help save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This is an important consideration for all playground operators and public procurement agencies.
In this context, we would like to introduce you to a new sustainability award for committed municipalities, CIRCULUS. It is designed to reward the use of recycled plastics, thus saving valuable resources. Circulus aims to encourage public procurement agencies to purchase more sustainably and consciously consider products containing recycled materials. Our new, recycled product line for playground equipment meets precisely these requirements, because our plastics were obtained through recycling processes and are therefore recyclates, i.e. recycled plastic.
