Responsibility for the future
For us, sustainability isn't just a trend; it's a conviction. At espas, we consistently focus on environmentally friendly materials and sophisticated recycling concepts to minimize our ecological footprint and create a future worth living in. Our goal is to offer durable, safe, and sustainable products that benefit people and nature equally.
One example of this is our slides and roofs, which are made of high-quality polyethylene (PE). This material is not only extremely robust and weather-resistant, but also 100% recyclable. This means our products can be recycled at the end of their life cycle, conserving valuable resources and reducing waste.
Our fence panels, made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), are equally sustainable. HDPE is a particularly durable plastic characterized by its longevity and ease of maintenance. It is resistant to weathering, UV radiation, and moisture. This material can also be recycled at the end of its useful life, thus preserving the raw material cycle and avoiding waste.
A special highlight is that our recycling posts are made from the Yellow Bag . This means that packaging waste that would otherwise be disposed of is transformed into new, durable profiles. In this way, we give valuable plastics a second life and transform waste into high-quality, durable play equipment for children. We are especially proud that our recycling posts are certified with the Blue Angel – a renowned environmental label that stands for particularly resource-efficient and environmentally friendly products.
We also consistently focus on sustainability during production: We carefully recycle production residues and our partners return them to the material cycle so that as little waste as possible is generated and resources are conserved.

Resource-saving
espa's recycling cycle
All espas polyethylene components, such as slides, roofs or spring animals, can be 100% recycled.
Production residues from PE production are sent for melting and processed into recycled PE sheets and recycled PE granules. The recycled sheets then serve, for example, as the core of our feathered toys.
In this way, we contribute to environmental protection in a resource-saving and sustainable manner.
